What is gold fill/ed?
Two to three layers of 14k or rose gold bonded to the surface of fine jewelers’ brass for a total of 5% of the weight of the metal. These layers will not wear away and are suitable for wearing in the shower, leaving in for long periods and will not expose sensitive ears to the brass inside. Plated or dipped metals have a comparatively tiny amount of gold and are prone to peeling or wearing away.
