I make functional pots designed for both use and display. Making pots that are both highly functional and visually attractive is one of the challenges I enjoy most about being a functional potter. All of my pottery is reduction fired to cone 10 and is therefore made to be durable and restaurant-quality. I also have a line of natural products made entirely of materials my partner and I dig around California. Both the clays and minerals we use for glazes are processed by hand. The depth and beauty of these materials surpasses any qualities I see in store-bought clay and glazes. Although we lose a measure of predictability and consistency when using unpurified found materials, the results are often much more unique and visually attractive. These pieces can be a bit more fragile and are not always microwave or dishwasher safe. Details are provided for anything that is for sale. These pieces are food safe however, and will last just as long as my other work if treated with care.
